- Protein Skimmers
The efficiency of a protein skimmer is dependent on it's design. Fine bubbles within the skimmer chamber attract organic waste from the water column. This organic waste is then carried to the top of the protein skimmer where the bubbles burst, depositing the waste in the collection cup. The removal of these organics at source, places less strain on the aquariums biological filter and keeps it far cleaner.
The V2 range of protein skimmers by TMC are performance skimmers that can be used in "hang on mode" or positioned within an aquarium sump.
